Todd Poston, PE
Todd Poston is an experienced business leader who knows how to introduce and deliver technology-based services and solutions. He has enjoyed a distinguished career with global network infrastructure technology firms. He is skilled in all aspects of the product and services life cycle from concept and introduction to discontinuation. Todd focuses on scope, schedules, quality, support, and program delivery. He cuts through complexity to identify and solve the real issues at hand. Todd effectively coaches seasoned professionals and mentors new talent.
Todd constructed the Systems Integration Product Services practice at Ciena. He structured delivery for broadband access (XGS-PON), multi-service virtualized edge (uCPE), SD-WAN/SASE, private 5G networks, and validation solutions. He built and developed the systems integration team for the delivery of services for client projects.
At Ericsson, Todd led presales teams for telecom cloud projects and shaped delivery capability for virtual network function onboarding and validation services.
While at Alcatel-Lucent and Cisco, he focused on the commercial telecommunications service provider market for enterprise and residential broadband access solutions. He has directed North American product management, strategy, and key customer messaging for multiple generations of wireline telecom network infrastructure products with $400+ million annual revenue. These product portfolios included hardware, software, and outside plant enclosures created by global teams. Todd began his career as a consulting engineer designing antenna systems for clients in government and then went on to design devices and subsystems for consumer electronics.
He is involved in the local innovation community in the Research Triangle Park, NC region.
Todd earned Bachelor (summa cum laude) and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University where he was a Fuqua Scholar. He is a Professional Engineer registered in North Carolina and holds two patents.
